We are committed to health, sustainability and community using locally-sourced, organic produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs and dairy, and preparation techniques inspired by traditional cultures around the world.

We are a Community Supported Kitchen — a business committed to revitalize community-scale food production. Founded in 2006 by five worker-owners, our cooperative now includes 20 worker-owners and approximately 25 other staff. We are located in the heart of Berkeley, in a space that has housed several alternative and health food markets over the years. What seemed like a fringe approaches to food when we began ten years ago have grown into a movement — to value real, simple foods grown and produced by trusted sources, to connect more deeply with our food for healing, community enrichment and environmental sustainability. While mason jars are ubiquitous in the current cottage food industry we have spent the past decade building an infrastructure for re-using these jars, a practice that is core to our commitment to reducing our environmental impact as much as possible.
