The original location of The Cupcake Collection is operated from the Francois family home in Nashville, TN. We officially launched our second location in New Orleans, Louisiana in the summer of 2017. Using only fresh ingredients like real butter, cream, and sugar, we bake cupcakes fresh daily from scratch minus unnecessary artificiality.

Mignon Francois is the Founder and Director of Joy at The Cupcake Collection (TCC).

As a stay-at-home mom, in the middle of the 2008 recession, Mignon took the last $5 she had for dinner one week and created a recipe for success that would grow into a family legacy with over five million cupcakes sold.

Mignon’s business savvy has earned her the titles of “Woman of Legend and Merit” by Tennessee State University, “Emerging Business Leader of the Year” and Black Enterprise Magazine “Family Business of the Year Award”.

Prior to her career at TCC, Mignon was a Household Manager and mother of 6 plus 1. As an entrepreneur, she lends her talents to the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation Foundation, Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and Pathway Women’s Business Center as a board member.

Mignon is an alumnus of Xavier University in New Orleans and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Houston Baptist University in 1999.
