Rob Levitt and his wife Allie Levitt started the Butcher & Larder in 2011 at it’s original location on Milwaukee. They met at the Culinary Institute of America in New York and racked up time working in some of Manhattan’s and Chicago’s best kitchens: North Pond, Marché, del Toro, La Tache, Fiddlehead Café, 312 Chicago, Gramercy Tavern and The Park Avenue Café. In 2015, Rob moved the Butcher & Larder to Local Foods’ location where it operates today.
