We invite you to take a step back in time to an old fashioned open air market overflowing with all of your favorite fresh foods and produce. Everywhere the eye can see you will find fresh-picked fruits, vegetables, flowers, and live, organic, healthy foods. While you’re visiting we’ll tell you all about our locally grown, organic fresh-picked produce, fresh baked breads, and our dazzling selection of fine cheese. Since 1975, Sigona’s Farmers Market has been the Bay Area’s hidden gem for lovers of the highest quality produce, finest specialty foods and fine dining & gourmet cooking.

Upon entering Sigona’s Farmer’s Market it’s not at all unusual to bump into John, Carmelo or Paul Sigona, the three brothers who founded Sigona’s in 1975. Sigona’s started as a small fruit stand, called Coyote Berry Acres, in Morgan Hill, California. The products offered then consisted of fresh fruits and vegetables from small local farmers, a tradition they have held onto and supported wholly throughout the years. The brothers opened the Redwood City location in 1984 and the Palo Alto location (in the Stanford Shopping Center) in 1998. Today, both Sigona’s locations resemble old-fashioned, open air markets, offering a huge selection of fresh, local & organic produce, dried fruits, nuts, cheese from around the world, beer and wine, fresh-baked breads and goodies, specialty foods, balsamic vinegars, Fresh Press extra virgin olive oils, and much, much more, including their own signature line of fine foods, gift baskets and fresh cut flowers.

Meet Carmelo Sigona, Paul Sigona & John Sigona. These three brothers founded Sigona’s in 1975 and feel blessed to have their family, such as nephew Robbie Sigona, the Sigona’s produce buyer, working by their side.

The Sigona brothers started the market out of an absolute love for the delicious flavors of the world. All three brothers are continually dedicated to offering people the very best from local family farmers & vendors and to building an honest, caring business environment.

Carmelo, John, Paul and all Sigona’s employees love living and working in an area with such an abundance of produce at their finger tips. Watching our customers taste a juicy peach or nectarine and seeing that big smile of approval makes it all worth while.
