Sidestreet Boutique was opened in 1972 in the Lake Tahoe Bijou Shopping center by mother / daughter team Cecelia Meagher (pictured) and Barbara Parina. Cissy, who passed in 1998, was a true-blood New Yorker and her daughter grew up in Beverly Hills and Malibu. Barbara moved to Tahoe after UCLA, met her husband and raised her family in town. Cissy came to Tahoe to be with her daughter and they decided to open the store after they felt there was a need to bring Hollywood fashion to Tahoe. Barbara is in the store at all time and loves helping her customers who all become her friend.
