Pisces Pet Emporium

We carry fresh and marine fish, aquatic plants, birds, small animals (including ferrets), and reptiles of all sorts. In addition, we carry the largest selection of brand name pet products in Canada. Pisces also has a large Pond and Pond Supplies department. We carry supplies for your pond year round and in the spring/summer months we carry an extensive line of live pond plants. Finally, a trip to Pisces Pet Emporium wouldn’t be complete without a visit with our finned, furred and feathered friends. Pisces now has over 700 aquariums and ninety feet of display tanks featuring a wide variety of both freshwater and saltwater fish, as well as a vast assortment of invertebrates, live rock, coral and aquatic plants.

Established in 1975.
Pisces Pet Emporium was started in 1975, in a 900 sq ft. building in Peter and Ave’s backyard. It was called Pisces Exotica and it only carried fish and fish supplies. Then teachers Peter and Ave ran the store weeknights and weekends. These first few years were difficult, but because of hard work, dedication to customer service, and many loyal customers, we were able to move into the strip mall at 5220 4th Street NE in 1981. The name then changed to Pisces Pet Emporium, and we began carrying dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, birds, and their necessary supplies. Three expansions later, Pisces Pet Emporium covered 20,000 sq. ft. and carried the largest selection of pets and their supplies in Calgary.
