This is Rose’s (Vartouhie’s) second succesful dining business. The first of which was Mia’s on Santa Monica boulevard in the heart of Hollywood through the 80s. After much encouragement and support from the community, she has brought forth another great dining experience for you to enjoy. In the rich tradition of Armenian hospitality, she offers the middle eastern communities of Fresno and the Bay Area freshly cooked products that have a home-made taste and quality that is not matched by any of her competition.

Rose was born to Hovannes and Mariam Zeitlian in Anjar, Lebanon. Her four brothers, all in the business of food service, have excelled at the craft which is handed down to Rose from her father, who was a chef for the French military. His attention to detail led him to excellence and respect from both culinary and business critics. To this day the Occasion name carries forward a brand of authentic food that is a value to its customers.
