Maui Cakes got started when it’s owner, Tori Takayesu, began using her artistic skills to decorate cakes for friends and family. After the first year, after making over 75 cakes, she realized this was a business and began creating edible works of art for everyone!

Meet Tori Takayesu, the Cake Queen of Maui! As owner of Maui Cakes, Tori started out as a Food Network fan. Amazed at the skill, artistry and creativity of those stars, she started out by experimenting on friends and family. Receiving encouragement, Tori enrolled at Maui College’s Culinary Arts program and learned under one of Maui’s most acclaimed bakery chefs. After travelling far and wide to continue to study under those same stars, she now runs a successful business doing what she loves most, and uses her skills to bring joy and deliciousness to her clients! You can also join Tori for her cake decorating classes she teaches at Maui College’s Edventure program.
