Limbo Jewelry is a local boutique featuring eco-friendly and ethically sourced jewelry inspired by architecture and handcrafted with care in Austin, Texas. In addition to our locally designed and handcrafted jewelry, we also carry a variety of Austin based artists and artisans for a unique curation of gifts, accessories, apparel, and more. Our SoCo shop features our in-house original jewelry designs handmade from the finest materials. Inspired by architecture, modern and clean simple lines make our jewelry creations as unique as they are beautiful. Owned and operated by local designer Edson Enriquez and wife Anne Rutt, everyday Edson looks to his surroundings and transforms it into wearable well-designed jewelry, largely inspired by the clean lines of architecture, the organic shapes of nature, and travels to his homeland, Mexico. The seamless relationship between beauty and simplicity can be seen in each piece of Limbo Jewelry. Focused on the balance between clean lines and geometric shapes, Limbo is emerging in the slow fashion movement as a sustainable brand to watch. With attention to detail, every piece is hand-crafted in our Austin, Texas studio. We solder, fabricate, and forge semi-precious and precious metals with care. Limbo Jewelry is crafted with the highest quality materials and processes available. We believe the instant classic feel of our designs will stand the test of time in durability and style.

Since arriving at the Austin art scene in 2003, Limbo has grown from an unassuming pop-up shop on South Congress to one of the most recognized storefronts in Austin’s bustling SoCo shopping district. Following 10 successful years in the artist pop up shop scene, Anne and Edson opened Limbo Jewelry’s storefront on Austin’s famed South Congress Avenue in March 2013. “SoCo” is renowned for its colorful vibe and world class shopping. With respect to their city and their experience, the duo has curated an eclectic store filled with handmade gifts. The vibe of the store is undeniably Austin, supporting and promoting many other local craftsmen.

At the helm of Limbo is the husband and wife team of Edson Enriquez and Anne Rutt-Enriquez. Edson, who was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, honed his silver-smithing and design skills at ITESO University. While Edson has always been inspired by architecture, his education in industrial design sparked his interest in metal-smithing. Originally conceived as a school project in college back in 2001, Edson developed the concept, name, logo, type, and art direction that would ultimately come to define Limbo’s original and exclusive aesthetic.

Anne is an entrepreneur with an eye for art. From her innovative ideas as a business owner to the thoughtful way she curates the Limbo Jewelry store, Anne’s vision for creativity is palpable. Together with Edson, they have grown the Limbo brand and today it is found in independent jewelry stores from coast-to-coast throughout the United States.
