Julius Anapolsky arrived in Sacramento as a young boy in 1906 from czarist Russia with little more than the tattered clothes on his back. The beginnings of the Julius haberdashery were equally humble, originally founded on Sacramento’s historic K street in a space referred to some as “shoebox-sized.” One of Julius’s earliest mottos was “Always first in fashion,” appropriately so as Julius prided himself on being a leader in fashion. This passion helped his store expand from a shoebox-sized store into a fashion landmark and we work to keep this passion alive today. After multiple expansions, our store became an original tenant of Pavilions Shopping center when it opened in 1985. Julius is still managed by the Anapolsky family along with a highly experienced and enthusiastic team.
