John Brooks Branscomb established J. Brooks Jewelers on December 1, 1997, following 16 years as co-owner of a well known Utah jewelry company. From the beginning, our mission at J. Brooks has been to create an environment where people are welcomed into our world, where they become a part of the J. Brooks “family.” John and his staff want every person who enters our stores to enjoy an experience of friendship and hospitality; with assurance, satisfaction & peace of mind. John Brooks Branscomb was born & raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He lived a simple, Southern life with his parents and 5 brothers & sisters. John started from age 9, selling produce door to door alongside his father, a process that taught him the priceless value of hard work and Southern hospitality.

He moved to Utah in 1981 to attend Brigham Young University and later married his beautiful wife, Kim. He worked with his brother at well-known Utah based company, where he grew a passion for being a part of people’s life’s celebrations.

John has always been very social and charismatic. He fell in love with the jewelry industry and found the joyful atmosphere to be very uplifting. What better feeling than to interact with friends & clients every day that are celebrating some of life’s greatest moments.

In 1997, John started his own company, J. Brooks Jewelers in Murray, Utah, where cultivating relationships & providing fashion-oriented, quality pieces is our top priority.
