Founded by Carl & Ina Merschman in 1974, Homemakers Furniture is celebrating 40 years of business in 2014. Acquired by Nebraska Furniture Mart, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, in 2000, Homemakers continues to be operated and managed by members of the Merschman family. In 2009, Homemakers underwent renovations to expand to its current size; in 2014, we gave our website an update as well! Our brand new e-commerce site makes our extensive selection and legendary low prices accessible across the United States – you can even make purchases via your smartphone!
