Discount Electronics has strived to fill it’s customers needs since it’s incarnation in Austin, Texas in 1997. Nearly twelve years of experience has taught us what to stock and how to get to our customers quickly. Dell parts are 90% of our business and we know them well. We also offer used and refurbished Dell computers, both Dell laptops and Dell desktops. Our mainstay are Dell batteries, ac adapters, motherboards, memory and all conceivable Dell parts and accessories.

Established in 1997.
We started on N. Lamar in 97 with just 4 employees and one small store. Today we have a staff of 70, two Austin retail stores and a very large internet sales facility. We credit our growth to great employees who genuinely care about the company they work for and the people they serve.

Rick moved to Austin at age 17 and became an entrepreneur almost immediately. He founded and ran Intouch Telecom in the early 90s until he sold the business to an employee in 1999 so he could spend all of his time with DiscountElectronics.com.

During this time he managed to find the perfect wife and and have two wonderful children.
