Culwell & Son is the Men’s Store of Dallas! We specialize in Classic American apparel with such brands as Hickey Freeman, Peter Millar and Johnnie O. Our 15,000 square foot store carries a wide variety of clothing from finest suits to casual needs. It all started in 1920 when Mike Culwell’s grandfather, W.E. Culwell, founded Culwell & Son as a shop that pressed men’s suits. Dallas was a different place back then — the streets weren’t always paved and a good suit from Sears cost some $28. In 1958, W.E.’s son, Cully, took the reins quickly and expanded the business, forging new relationships with the best clothiers of the day. Cully changed the name of the store from the Varsity Shop to Culwell & Son to better reflect the growing client base of executives, professionals and Dallas’ top CEOs. Most importantly, Culwell has always been staffed with clothing professionals who’ve chosen Culwell & Son as a career. They’re the people that Dallas’ most important business and professional men trust to keep them looking great.
