Cheese Plus

Cheese Plus is San Francisco’s premier cheese and specialty food store. A cozy neighborhood shop located on the sunny corner of Polk and Pacific in Russian Hill, we feature the finest cheese from the U.S. and around the globe. We’re also proud of our selection of fine culinary products including Northern California artisan produced charcuterie, chocolate, specialty condiments, oils and vinegars, coffee and espresso drinks, and our own house made sandwiches, salads, and spreads.

Established in 2005.
Cheese Plus is owned by Ray Bair. Prior to creating Cheese Plus, Ray was director of cheese, wine, and specialty foods for Whole Foods Market™. Well regarded for his travels across the country and throughout Europe, Ray is constantly searching to find the source of authentic and traditional cheese and specialty foods.

We’re still open, but you’ll need to wear a mask if you visit us. Mask or other face covering required for our sidewalk cafe and in-store shopping. We encourage you to call us to place orders for curbside pickup and San Francisco delivery. You can also email us at staff@cheeseplus dot com. Our current hours are as follows: Sidewalk Cafe open Monday-Saturday 9AM – 6PM Sunday Sidewalk Cafe open 9AM-5:30PM Store open Monday-Saturday 10AM-6:30PM Sunday we’re open 10AM-5:30PM Limit 6 customers at anytime within the store – expect increased wait times at both our Sidewalk Cafe and Store.
