Established in 1950.
Company History Ralph Bradley opened his first furniture store in downtown Salt Lake City in the 1950s. He quickly developed a reputation as having one of Salt Lake’s best little furniture stores. In the late 1970’s Mr. Bradley decided to focus on sleep related products and built a 40,000 square foot Sleep Center in Murray Utah. At the time Bradley’s Sleep Center was the largest Sleep Center west of the Mississippi. Soon Bradley’s became known as the premier destination for sleep related products in the Intermountain West. In the late 1970’s into the early 1980’s, Bradley’s sold more waterbeds than any other store in the Intermountain West. Mr. Bradley and his wife had 14 children, many of which learned lessons from working hard at the store. Mr. Bradley later left the daily operations of the Sleep Center to his sons. In the late 1990s after Mr. Bradley retired, one of his sons along with a long time employee Chad Downs took over the business. They opened up a second location
Chad D.
Business Owner
Chad has worked for Bradley’s Furniture since Highschool as a delivery boy. He was soon promoted to sales, and later to management. Then, in the late 1990s, Mr. Bradley retired and left the store to one of his sons along with his newest manager Chad Downs. They opened up a second location in 1991 in South Salt Lake City, which is the current location of the business today. In 1997, the last Bradley in the mattress business left the company to Chad and his wife, Lesa. Together, they are now the owners of the one remaining Bradley’s Sleep Etc., located in Salt Lake.No Records Found
