For Over 55 years, Strong’s has been the authorized Volkswagen dealer, Now in the third generation of Strong’s, Brad and Blake Strong are continuing the tradition of award-winning sales and service for their customers. It all started with their Grandfather L.H. Strong (1900-1975) who was a Hudson-Studebaker Dealer in the 40’s and 50’s. He became one of the First VW Dealers in 1955, and Dave, his son, managed the business. Dave, his son, managed the business. Then in 1969, Dave acquired one of the First Porsche Audi dealerships in the country at a new location where it still operates today. Brad Strong is now the General Manager/Owner of Volkswagen at its new location (Jan 2001). 1070 South Main, just one block west of Porsche and Audi. Blake Strong has been the General Manager/ owner of Porsche Audi and looks forward to many more years of continued success ensuring that customers get the best service in the industry. Brad has worked in the family business his entire life. He started washing cars at age 12, then worked in the parts department, then in service turning wrenches, and later as a service advisor. He later worked as a sales consultant, and then worked in the F&I department, and finally was promoted to the VW sales manager. When we moved to our new location at 1070 Main Street in Salt Lake City, he was promoted to General Manager. Years later, he and his brother Blake bought out their father’s share of the business, and now run one of the nation’s best dealerships. He serves on many local and national committees, but he still makes time for his family. Brad has long been a sponsor of the Univeristy of Utah sports teams, and other local teams as well. He’s at the dealership five days a week and is actively involved in all areas of the business.
