Vintage Fresh

At Vintage Fresh, we offer our customers the furniture you have come to know us for, as well as home decor, accessories, gifts and much more! A blend of vintage + modern, we hope to provide Northwest Austin with a downtown shopping experience, without the hassle of fighting traffic and finding parking.

In May of 2013, I was checking out a local thrift store that recently opened in my area when I found a unique dresser with brass hardware that stopped me in my tracks. The price on the piece was $25. On a whim, I purchased the dresser and a few days later, the dresser was transformed! And I was hooked! I loved seeing a piece of furniture go from something that most people would overlook to being a true statement piece that now resides in the home of one of my best friends. After refinishing a few more pieces for friends and family, I decided to become an official business in November 2013. I wanted the name of my business to communicate my love of vintage furniture along with my attraction to fresh, bold colors and design, hence the name Vintage Fresh.

I’m Leslie, a 29 year-old wife and mother of two that considers herself pretty dang lucky to live in Austin, TX. I married my high school sweetheart at the young age of 18 and attended freshman orientation at the University of Texas a few weeks later. After graduating from Texas in 2007, I taught kindergarten at a local private Christian school for five years until we adopted our two children in 2012. When I’m not painting a dresser in my garage, you might find me chasing my kids around, rocking on the back porch with my husband, or cheering loudly (and some may say obnoxiously) for the Longhorns. I love to create- whether I’m using a hot glue gun, a sewing machine or my stove. I also enjoy searching thrift stores and Craig’s List for great furniture finds.
