It started as an adventure seeking to reconcile family and professional life: In 2008, Thierry, Christiane and their children left France for a trip around the world on their sailboat. Five years later, with good winds and a little bit of luck, they discovered Charleston, SC. The time was right to settle down and to combine the ingredients that made the journey unique: Good food that brings people together, precious personal and professional relationships and, being simple and authentic.

Established in 2014.
The owners of Sdmc have been traveling around the world, through many countries. They immediately fell in love with Charleston while visiting and decided to settle down. Our knowledge for good and healthy food combined with our expertise in different cuisines, inspired us. Come and share with us, Saveurs du Monde Cafe which means ” tastes of the world”. Since 2014 the business is growing up and is definitely THE breakfast and lunch place of Charleston/ Mount Pleasant.

It was 2013 and the time was right to settle down and to combine the ingredients that made their journey unique: Good food that brings people together, precious personal and professional relationships and, being simple and authentic.
With these values, Saveurs du Monde Cafe (SDMC) opened in 2014 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The Cafe quickly became one of the best meeting places for coffees, danishes, breakfast and lunch; where everyone can enjoys simple, balanced, good French inspired food in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
After 2 years of incredible growth and a lot work to ensure that the recipe for success could be transferred and applied to new locations, SDMC is ready to expanding and sharing their success.
