Wilsons Butchers

Wilsons, named «England’s Best Butchers» (2005 — 2006) are multi award winning traditional butchers who cater for the requirements of today’s conscientious consumer. They achieve this by sourcing only the finest locally produced beef, free range pork and Yorkshire lamb which is matured and cut by master craftsmen to give tender, succulent meat with real flavour. Wilsons are also noted for their home made sausage and Champion Pies & Pasties, being three times winners of the Yorkshire Small Pork Pie Competition between 1999 and 2007. They even make 10 inch celebration pork pies for special occasions as well as three tier wedding pork pies. Wilsons also have an online shop with deliveries direct to your door — you won’t be disappointed!

Stared by George Wilsons in 1928 the shop has always been a quality butchers, selling only the finest locally sourced meats. Current owners John & Andrew Green took over the business in 1985 and since then have introduced a deli counter, freshly baked pies and now even three tier wedding pork pies.
