Beginning in 1988, Michael honed his skills as a goldsmith during five years apprenticed to two master goldsmiths in the Monterey Bay area. Originally intending to limit the business to wholesale sales and repairs, he quickly saw the need to open a retail branch.

After 20 years in the field, Michael now spcializes in custom design and repairs of all types including difficult antique restoration, metal eyeglass repair, and stone setting. To enhance his already considerable skills as a designer and craftsman, he has added the latest technological equipment: a laser welder, CAD/CAM software and a mill.
