Minor Jewelry is a full service family run jewelry store. Jesse Minor is a third generation jeweler, and has been located on 12th Avenue South since 1986. We carry a wide variety of jewelry including diamonds, pearls, precious and natural stones, pre-owned Rolex watches, and estate Jewelry. We provide watch and jewelry repair along with custom design and appraisal services. Minor Jewelry is one of the few businesses still doing all repairs right in the store. Established in 1986.
My grandfather, Henry Minor, initiated the watchmaking fascination that would shape the lives of future generations in the Minor family. Grandpa opened his first watch repair shop in Alabama during the 1930’s. My father was one of the four sons who inherited the interest of watch making. He moved to Nashville in 1947 and worked on the public square repairing watches for twenty-one years. I, Jesse Minor, Jr., began repairing watches when I was ten years old. While other boys where cutting grass to make money, I was repairing clocks and watches. After high school, I went to Kansas City School of Watchmaking. In 1986 I opened Minor Jewelry in Nashville, Tennessee. Minor Jewelry strives to courteously provide skilled assistance to customers. Besides repairing watches, we custom make jewelry and restore estate jewelry. Our goal is for you to have a piece of jewelry that you LOVE as much as the person that gave it to you.
