Merry Tails

The store is mainly for people who LOVE animals. There are some things for the pets in the store, but most of the merchandise is for people. The dog selection is breed specific and includes t-shirts, socks, plush,signs, etc. There is a great cat selection as well as wildlife. Lots of unusual choices!

Established in 1988.
It started as a «dream» and at that time there was no store like it. It has grown and developed over all these years and in 2010 it combined with it’s sister store «Dog Alley» and became an even larger store. It is all in one location now in the DownUnder section of Pike Place Market. The new location is even cuter than the two before this. The store carries unique animals and has a strong dog assortment.

I have always had a true love of all animals and dreamed of having a business that expressed this passion. My background was clothing retail and I knew I could apply the same principles to an all animal themed store. It has been a great adventure and a challenge every day. It is fun to try to have what my customer might be looking for…even if they don’t know what that item might be! I have to stay a step ahead and anticipate the future trends.
