Independence Audio-Video was started by Gary Huffman in 1971 when Gary began selling home audio equipment out of the basement of his house. Over the years we evolved into a full line electronics store, offering home theater and mobile audio-video sales and service. We are a family owned business and we recently celebrated our 40th year in business. Our focus on high quality products and superior customer service has been the key to our success. We have the regions most experienced sales and installation staff and we strive to offer our customers the best experience we can give.

Scott was born and raised in Independence. He grew up hanging around his father’s Hi-Fi shop which was located in the basement of their house back in the early 1970’s. Scott has over 30 years of professional experience and his ability to hire and retain the area’s best home theater and car audio specialists has been the key to our long term success.
