Established in 2005.
The dental office began with Dr. Mitsuo Nakata in 1939 and was passed down to his son Dr. Ronald Nakata who practiced for over thirty years. Dr. Nakata wanted to ensure his patients continued with doctors that he trusted. Dr. DeMasi and Dr. Saber were chosen. They renamed the practice Healthy Smiles Dental Group in 2005. There are still patients from that original practice started in the 1930’s, as well as most of Dr. Nakata’s patients. Dr. DeMasi and Dr. Saber are a husband and wife team. They were educated in SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and moved to Portland with the dream of establishing a neighborhood family practice. In 2016 due to rapid growth of the practice additional staff and were brought in to ensure our patients receive the same quality care they are accustom to. In 2017 Dr. Ji, DDS joined the practice to augment our ever growing Portland, OR dental practice.

Hi everyone!
I am actually the co-owner of my practice along with my husband, Dr. Al, Saber, DDS. We both enjoy living and working in NE Portland, OR and we plan on staying here for the «long haul» 🙂 We like to treat our staff and patient’s like extended family. We both feel strongly about keeping our patient’s healthy and happy through treatment and education. This includes consistent continuing education for ourselves and our staff. We would like to be a part of your healthcare team, and are here to help and guide you through any choices you have to make. We also like to give back to our communities through volunteer work both in and out of the dental field.
Apart from dentistry we love to enjoy all the activity here in Oregon. We both kayak and windsurf. I have a particular fondness for karaoke and have started participating in running events too!
