Dine the day away — breakfast to dinner, coffee to cocktails. Ellie’s aims to be a soulful eatery that serves as a gathering place for neighbors and a place of rest for visitors. You can start your day with freshly baked pastries and coffees, keep the day going with a wholesome lunch, and settle in for the evening with friends for a glass of wine, dinner and a slice of cake. All of our products and dishes are prepared with the season in mind. We source our ingredients responsibly, from local farms and producers, many of which are located within an hour’s driving distance of Providence. Our team is passionate and filled with pride. Each smell, taste, and sip from our intimate eatery promises wholesome goodness and a delightful awakening of the senses. Our food and beverage menus are inspired by Parisian classics and influenced by our team’s personal travels in France, finished off with Ellie’s own unique spin. Each product is made with integrity and attention to the tiniest detail. We strive each day to stand out in the community as a dependable and nourishing neighborhood eatery.
Ellie’s first opened her doors in winter of 2012 as Ellie’s Bakery on Washington Street in Providence, RI. This tiny bakery aimed to serve fresh breads, unique pastries, and unparalleled hospitality. Ellie’s quickly became a part of the neighborhood. Over the years, the menu and team have grown, from testing the perfect croissant daily over the better part of a year to the barista team developing a single-origin coffee program and signature coffee blend. The idea of expanding Ellie’s started when the demand for pastry pushed the baking operation to Hope & Main in Warren, RI, which allowed the team to really dive into pastry production while we searched for a new home for Ellie’s. After years of looking for a place that could bring the bakers back under the same roof, we discovered 225 Weybosset, where we now look forward to serving you morning through night with the same nourishing and dependable service that we’ve come to be known for.
