Dr. Bernstein has been practicing since he graduated UOP Dental School in 1985. He practiced near U.C. Berkeley for 20 years, concurrently completing a comprehensive curriculum in Cosmetic Dentistry and Full Mouth Reconstruction, as well as advanced training in I.V. Sedation. Dr. Bernstein was appointed to a prestigious Senior Clinical Instructor position at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. While a Senior Clinical Instructor, Dr. Bernstein moved his private practice to Piedmont in 2005 and to Oakland in 2015. He is fortunate to receive referrals from physicians, dentists and his existing patients for Cosmetic, Comprehensive (General) and Sedation Dentistry, Dr. Bernstein’s patient list includes celebrities, VIP’s, physicians, dentists, and everyday people who are looking for the very best dentistry in a comforting and caring atmosphere. Dr. Bernstein is a well-known author and lecturer who literally wrote «The Book on Painless Dentistry.»

Dr. Bernstein is a Bay Area native, born in San Francisco and raised in the East Bay. He graduated from Piedmont High School, U.C. Berkeley, and UOP Dental School. Dr. Bernstein is married with 3 children. In his spare time he enjoys movies, reading, outdoor sports—especially swimming, his dogs and spending time with his family.
