The Butcher’s Market is proud to be a part of the Charlotte, NC community serving quality meats and poultry products and great customer service since April 2010. The name was changed in 2014 when the Ballantyne, NC became an independent business. Owners Jim and Ginnie Meehan are proud of the growth over the last five plus years and attribute it’s success to having a great staff that will help with all your meal planning.

We also carry more than 100 varieties of wine, fine cheeses, fresh produce, breads, side dishes, desserts, pastries, and other gourmet grocery items to make every meal memorable and delicious.

After working for the government for many years and owning my own restaurant, this idea of a Butcher’s Market sounded like it could be a lot of fun. The Butcher’s Market has been in business at this location for 5 1/2 years formerly under a different name. Moving here from the North East where butcher markets are not commonly known it did poise a problem getting the word out. Many people in Charlotte did know of the former name from Maine and New Hampshire where there were 12 company stores and franchisee’s were being sold to people, like myself, who thought this was a great concept.
Although we have experienced many up’s and down’s over the years, it still proves to be a great concept with personalized service to our customers that you don’t get in our regular grocery stores. You also will not get the quality of meats that come from the Mid- West that The Butcher’s Market is able to obtain. We are here to help YOU plan that family dinner or plan your meal for a group of friends.
