Sanford Herskovitz earned a PhD in psychology in 1974…then couldn’t find a job. Taking over the remnants of his Mom and Dad’s fresh kill poultry business, he began making friends with meat cutters and packing house owners in Cleveland’s now defunct processing plants on the near west side. He would invite people over for dinner and serve them prime steaks and fresh killed chicken. Eventually, they began to order these products through him and thus began Mister Brisket, Inc.
