Offerings include French Macarons, famous carrot cake (and many other flavors) by the slice or whole, meringues, cheesecakes (slice or whole) and many other desserts including ice cream sandwiches, bars, cookies, handmade marshmallows, etc! Some kids grow up catching frogs and doing ballet, but you were more likely to find me playing in the kitchen, elbow deep in flour and sugar. I have been baking longer than I can remember and can’t think of many things I enjoy more. I fell in love with the art of decorating at a young age watching my mom take tiers and tiers of plain cake and turn them into a masterpiece of fluffy white flowers and design. After college, and a career in public relations and advertising, I began tinkering with the idea of opening The SweetSide. A few years later, I have studied at the amazing Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts in Toronto and cannot imagine a career in anything else.
