I started baking for the Red Hut Soda Fountain on Ski Run Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe, CA. as a hobby. All of my baked goods can be seen and purchased there. I have been baking for the Red Hut since 2009 and with a lot of encouragement I am spreading my wings and making custom Wedding Cakes and all other specialty baked goods. In 2005, I started taking baking classes at Lake Tahoe Community College for fun and I was bitten by the baking bug. In two years I had taken every baking class they offered and obtained an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. After graduating, I became a pastry chef for Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, creating high quality desserts got their fine dinning restaurants. It was a wonderful job, but soon I realized that going to work before sun rise is not for me. My happiness now stems from creating custom desserts and cakes for any occasion, may it be a Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary or family gathering.
