We also chose from the beginning, to cut all of our cheeses “fresh to order.” This means that we personally and professionally cut and wrap the cheese fresh from the wheel, which gives you a longer shelf life at home and allows you to purchase the exact amount that you desire. And of course we offer free samples of our cheeses so that you may see for yourself, the character of each cheese. Valley Cheese and Wine is the premier specialty wine and food store in the Las Vegas valley. Founded in July 2006 by Bob Howald and Kristin Sande, Valley Cheese and Wine is notable for being Vegas’ first and longest-running cheese shop! Bob and Kristen sold VCW in 2019 to Solenne Peyronnin and her husband Gabriel, a French couple who moved to the US in 2015. In 2020, ownership changed hands to Diana Brier, ACS CCSE and her parents, Burgess and Terry. Previous owner Solenne has stayed on board to continue directing the wine program, bringing her vast wine knowledge to you. Diana is now the store manager and directs the cheese program. Valley Cheese and Wine features flavorful, artisanal products that are produced in small quantities. Every item we carry is hand-selected with taste in mind, representing the world’s finest. Diana is one of 45 American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Sensory Evauators in the country, and the only one in Las Vegas, and is also an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional. As a cheesemaker, affineur, and cheesemonger, Diana is the Store Manager and Director of Cheese.
Diana and a carefully selected team of sommeliers work in beautiful harmony to bring a combined experience and passion for their respective crafts to the Las Vegas Valley. Both the cheese and wine programs are carefully curated, and the experts are happy to share their love and knowledge for cheese and wine with you!
