Ralph Bradley opened his first furniture store in downtown Salt Lake City in the 1950s. He quickly developed a reputation as having one of Salt Lake’s best little furniture stores. In the late 1970’s Mr. Bradley decided to focus on sleep related products and built a 40,000 square foot Sleep Center in Murray Utah. At the time Bradley’s Sleep Center was the largest Sleep Center west of the Mississippi. Soon Bradley’s became known as the premier destination for sleep related products in the Intermountain West. In the late 1970’s into the early 1980’s, Bradley’s sold more waterbeds than any other store in the Intermountain West. Mr. Bradley and his wife had 14 children, many of which learned lessons from working hard at the store. Mr. Bradley later left the daily operations of the Sleep Center to his sons. Matt has been part of the family business since he was 15 years old when he began coming in a few hours a week to set up barstools and clean the store. Since then he has been part of the delivery team and sold on the showroom floor for now almost 15 years.his father Chad has followed the same path and started as a delivery boy in high school for Ralph Bradley the original founder. Matt has a bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of Utah and has designed all of the web sites himself which has led to opening the doors to nationwide shipping of Bradley’s custom rustic furniture line.
