As a leading distributor of electronic components, products and services, approximately one-third of our business is the industrial OEM market (Original Equipment Manufacturers), one-third being the Commercial/Industrial/MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) market with the final third being Government (Federal, State, Local). We are also a major distributor of electronic wire and cable products–stocking millions of feet of electronic wire and cable from most of the name brand manufacturers. In addition to these broad markets, we are a distributor of industrial electronic components, terminal blocks/connectors, CCTV video equipment and can source those “hard to find” electronic components. Our recently remodeled front counter area allows end users to stop by and actually “touch & feel” the product prior to purchase. While most of our business is with commercial accounts, we do accept most major credit cards. Either way, we promise fast, knowledgeable, and friendly service. In 1935, Earl Meisner founded United Radio Supply, selling receiving tubes and other electronic components for the broadcasting and emerging radio/television market. In 1965, Earl Meisner sold the business to Charlie Douglass and Earl (Skip) Twietmeyer. Skip took on full ownership of the company in 1974. Ten years later, United Radio Supply changed its name to URS Electronics, to better reflect the transition of selling exclusively in the industrial/commercial electronic user marketplace. Skip retired in 1997 and his son Mark became President of URS Electronics.
