Oaks Jewelers was founded in 1948 by Henry Accornero and his half brother, Bob Zavattaro. At that time, the store was approximately half the size it is today, and was operated solely by the two dedicated brothers. Later, Henry’s wife Angie joined the Oaks Jewelers team. Today Oaks Jewelers continues to be family-run, and is currently owned by Henry’s youngest son, Jeff Accornero. Although Henry has officially retired, his daughter Cheryl still works at the family business. Jeff’s daughter, Melissa, also helps manage the family business. With the dedication of experienced sales associate and jewelry designer Colleen Abramovitz, watchmaker Larry More, sales associate and gemologist Joseph Pagano, and sales associate Marquisha Grigsby, the Accornero family continues to preserve Oaks Jewelers’ legacy of superior customer service, and quality fine jewelry.
