Minas TV was started by Minas (Mike) and his two brothers in 1970, after Mike worked for S&C Electric Company for 14 years. They started as a small business selling televisions, radios, small appliances, and repairing all sorts of electronics. In 1980 Mike’s two brothers decided to move to Los Angeles and own gas stations, and they tried to persuade Mike to join them, fortunately Mike declined and continued to expand his business. Just about that time Minas TV began selling and repairing room air conditioners. Minas TV still sells and repairs AC’s to this day. Around 1986 the interior and exterior of the store got a face lift, and the business expanded by adding the two adjacent storefronts north of the original storefronts. The video department occupies those two storefronts. Minas TV has been involved with the northside community for many years by donating to various schools, churches, baseball teams, and fundraisers. We appreciate the loyalty and support over the last 45 years!

Minas A started Minas TV back in 1970 with his two brothers. Before he opened the business, he was working at S & C Electric Company for 14 years. Minas TV expanded it’s business in 1985 to include movie and game rentals and sales ( that’s when “video” was added to the business name ). They also expanded their space, adding two more storefronts, a total of four storefronts on Clark Street. Staying diversified over the years has helped Minas A maintain his business for many years. Minas TV has kept it’s core business of selling and servicing televisions, but they have also added air conditioner sales and service, home theater sales and service, and DIRECTV sales and installations over the past 20 years. Having loyal customers is the main reason why Minas TV and Video- family owned and operated- has lasted for 45 years.
