Launched from a love of everything furry and passion for being active in the local community, Heart Fur Paws was founded to provide a caring and reliable service to both its human and pet clients. After spending over a decade in the Recruiting industry–working for a global aerospace/defense corporation, a major airline, the largest juvenile detention center in the country, a major telecom conglomerate, and a national commercial real estate firm–owner Carrie Hegenderfer followed the Lord’s leading out of a cubical and into the strange new world of being a business owner. She opened Heart Fur Paws in October 2019 and now joyfully serves pet owners and their furry four-legged friends on Daniel Island and the surrounding Charleston area.Carrie is certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, a member of Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS), and comfortable working with special needs pets. She has prior experience as a Demo Rep for Stella & Chewy’s, and as a Volunteer for Pet Helpers, PAWS Chicago, and Miracles in Motion, a Therapeutic Equestrian Center.
Whether you need Pet Sitting, Dog Walking or Basic Dog Grooming services, Carrie treats your pets and homes as if they were her own.
