The Gem Smith has been in business since 1988, before that it was called Blaine Enterprises, we have been in business for 35 Years. What began in a small backyard shed has grown into a full service jewelry business. We have moved a couple of times over the 35 years but have remained in the same city. The Gem Smith was the first to make CTR Rings in both sterling silver and in 14KT Gold. Over the years one of the things we have specialized in LDS based rings, charms, bracelets, tie tacks, etc. The Gem Smith is a full retail jewelry store with the capabilities for all type of repairs, & custom work.

The Gem Smith was started by Blaine Smith in a small shop he and his father constructed in their backyard.
Work continued in Blaine’s backyard until 1987 when The Gem Smith moved to 543 West 100 North in Bountiful. This move allowed The Gem Smith to expand and hire more employees. The Gem Smith stayed at this location for 18 years.
In the summer of 2005 The Gem Smith moved to their current location, 587 West 2600 South in the Square @ 2600. They enjoy this location and their beautiful store. It continues in house manufacturing as well as a full retail store selling beautiful jewelry of all kinds.
