Great Harvest Bread Tempe

Great Harvest Bread is a specialty bakery specializing in 100% natural breads. From everyday sandwich breads, to sweet breads such as the Extreme Cinnamon Swirl Bread. In addition a selection of Gluten Free breads and sweets are baked every Tuesday. All breads and sweets are 100% natural, no conditions, preservatives or HFCS, with most having no eggs or oils. Sandwiches are offered open to close with a variety of soups everyday. Other products carried are Naturally Nutty Nut Butters, Natural fruit spreads, Honeyville Flavored Honey, and much more.

First opened December 2005 by Bill and Carolyn Holmes the bakery grew and built a firm foundation in the community. August 2008, Ward and Leslie purchased the existing bakery from the Holmes. Taking on the obligations of Bill and Carolyn we contiuned to grow and expand the bakery, providing the footing to be around for a long time to come. March 2015, selected as one of the top 10 Great Harvest Bakeries (with 2+ years of operation) for product quality through continual product testing.

Hello,

At the beginning of August 2008 (Two years ago as I write this) my parents took over as owners of this Great Harvest. Before we as a family decided to uproot and move across the country we were a small family of four that lived in a small town called Salmon, Idaho.

Salmon is where me and my brother were born and raised. My mother, Leslie, was born and raised in southern California and my father, Ward, was born and raised in Montana before moving to Phoenix to attend DeVry.

Having previously owned a small business in Idaho (A Coast to Coast Hardware) my parents got the itch once again to be self employed and they set out to join the Great Harvest family. Not just any bakery would do, it had to be a Great Harvest or nothing at all. After a year of interviews and searching they found this bakery and decided it was a match.

So here we are, mother, father and sons that moved across the country to buy the best Great Harvest out there.
