Utopia opened in 1991 and was a pioneer for Charleston’s urban contemporary fashion scene. It has evolved into a premier boutique for women, with an eclectic mix of fashions ranging from your classic cocktail dress, to funky, artistic fashions, including European designers with a completely unique flair. Utopia also showcases many local jewelry designs, great handbags, select shoes and the colorful artwork of Beki, the artist and owner of Utopia.

Beki was born in the US and grew up in Canada and the Bahamas. In 1986, she made Charleston, SC her home where she and her husband, Sherman Evans opened their Boutique/Gallery, UTOPIA, in the historic downtown area in 1991.
