Stepherson’s Superlo Foods is a local, family operated, and employee owned chain of grocery stores that has been operating in the Memphis area since 1944. We carry the highest quality meat that we can buy, as well as slicing all of our meat in the store. We also buy in the freshest produce possible, and offer wide variety of name brand products on our grocery shelves. We offer our customers the best value for their dollar by selling everything at an everyday low price, no games no gimmicks. Customers do not need a membership card to get our low prices.

The business was founded in 1944 Jack, Wesley, and Kenneth Stepherson. The first store that they bought together was on Rembert street in midtown, and has since been converted into a 2 bedroom home. From 1950-1990 the stores were called Stepherson’s Big Star. The Superlo Foods concept was created in 1993, and has grown rapidly since. The Macon Rd. store was opened in 1960. The Spottswood store was opened in 1981 The Covington Pike store was opened in 2000 The N. Watkins store was opened in 2003 The Winchester store was opened in 2009 The Goodman Rd. store was opened in 2012 The Quince store was opened in 2014
