Farmer, DMD and all of our dental team are highly trained to offer you comprehensive dentistry – from children’s dentistry to dentures – we are here for our patients throughout a lifetime of care. We offer digital x-rays, tooth colored fillings, teeth whitening, nitrous oxide (laughing gas, a mild type of sedation dentistry), and dental implant restorations, among other services. We love our family of patients and encourage them to maintain their dental health and overall physical health. Dr. Farmer and our dental team always welcome new patients and we believe that you will see the difference in our practice on your first visit!

At Plaza Midwood Dentistry, we believe in honest, compassionate care where we treat our patients like family. We provide a comfortable, relaxed environment where the focus is on the patient. We are now accepting new patients and would love to have you as part of our family of patients!Dr. Michael Farmer is a North Carolina native who grew up in Old Fort, a small town in the foothills of Western North Carolina. After graduating from Wake Forest University, Dr. Farmer attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Dentistry where he was exposed to a large variety of patients and developed a strong interest in helping those patients that were less fortunate.
Dr. Farmer has carried these experiences throughout his career in dentistry, often volunteering with such projects such as the NC Dental Society’s Missions of Mercy, the ADA’s Give Kids A Smile, and being a volunteer and member of the board of directors for the Cape Fear Clinic, a non-profit clinic which provides dental, medical, pharmaceutical, and mental health care at no cost to patients in Wilmington, NC. He also volunteers to take students from UNC School of Dentistry to Uganda each year.
In his spare time, Dr. Farmer enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and community projects.
