Established in 2015.
Loveseat is a tech company disguised as a furniture store. In 2013, Jenny and Chris were moving across the country and wanted to start a company together. They had this idea to build a mobile app to connect furniture sellers w/ buyers (like a better Craigslist for furniture). What they discovered is it is really hard to match a buyer & seller at the exact right moment and it’s really hard to control the quality & price of the inventory without having physical possession. That’s why in 2015, they pivoted the business and started buying & selling furniture out of a 4 car garage w/ the tech they built. Customers loved what they were doing and Jenny & Chris knew they were on to something. The rest is history. Loveseat has blossomed into a full staff with warehouses in multiple cities. While the technology and processes have continuously improved, no one will ever lose sight of the lessons learned that made the business work when they were selling out of a garage.

Jenny is from San Diego. She is the cofounder & CTO of Loveseat. As a child, Jenny loved doing long division in the back of her family’s RV while on road trips. She’s also a Gold Award Girlscout. Prior to Loveseat, she was the 7th employee at Venmo. Before that, she was a HS math teacher in a distressed Philly inter city school. Before THAT, she was an investment banker on Wall St. Jenny has dual undergrad degrees and a master’s degree from Wharton / University of Pennsylvania.

Chris is from Philadelphia. He is the cofounder & CEO of Loveseat. He has taken up surfing since moving to San Diego – he’s a kook still. Before Loveseat, he founded TicketLeap.com. Chris also went to Wharton. He does all the marketing & operations for Loveseat. It’s his fault that ads follow you around on the internet.
