Freed's Bakery

Freed’s Bakery offers a wonderful variety of delicious custom cakes, dessert cakes, cupcakes, pastries, cake slices, and desserts baked fresh daily. We provide same day cakes and wedding cakes as we have for the past 53 years (as our schedule permits : ). We appreciate as much time as possible to order your cake, though we’re used to a “Vegas Style” time schedule. Some designs take longer than others however, so please plan in advance and let us know with as much time as possible! Our incredible baked goods are perfect for birthdays, weddings, special events, office parties, as gifts, after school treats, after dinner treats, or just because… Come in and get a sample of our fantastic cookies, pastries and cakes. We’d love to show you how delicious our sweets and treats are!

In 1959, Broadway musician Milton Fried moved his family from New York to Los Angeles with a quick stop in Las Vegas, a city with a population of 17,000 that doubled every Friday afternoon. Recognizing the wonder of it all, Milt decided to try his luck on Vegas and unpacked a car bursting at the seams with five children, a wife, and seven horns. Milton and Esther Fried decided to open up Freed’s Royal Pastry Shop, an 11 seat snack shop at the Panorama Market and during the evenings, Milt would spend his time at the Sands playing in the orchestra alongside Sinatra. Just three weeks after opening, they were wheeling in a six-pan oven and a 30-quart mixer… Freed’s Royal Pastry Shop became Freed’s Bakery. Over 50 years later, Freed’s Bakery remains family owned and operated, and has gone from serving a small selection of breakfast items to specializing in over-the-top designer cakes, incredible cookies and cake slices, as well as a wonderful selection of traditional bakery items!

Max baked his first sprinkle coated bagel at the age of four years old, and while the combination was considered unique, it was still somewhat poorly received by his older sister. He can now be found roaming Freed’s Bakery looking for excuses to taste the cookies and pastries in the name of “research and development”. A third generation owner, Max takes very personally the service and quality that are the keystones of Freed’s Bakery’s wonderful reputation.
