The American Italian Deli specializes in fresh American style deli sandwiches with an Italian theme twist. The Godfather sandwich (Part I and Spicy Part II) is one of the specialty sandwiches that is offered along with the Ironman and a myriad of other tasty sandwich offerings. Los Gatos location has now introduced the daily specials that are featured in Los Altos – Monday is Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, Tuesday is BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Wednesday is Oven Roasted Turkey Sandwich, and Thursday is our French Dip Sandwich. Please come in and give them a try. Enjoy! We prepare and cook our own Roast Beef in-house and this is fan favorite for roast beef lovers – ask for horse radish is you want a kick. For our vegetarian crowd, our wheat bread/rolls (only) are vegan and we offer many variations of vegetarian delights. Our bread is baked fresh daily in San Francisco and this adds to the freshness, uniqueness, and overall enjoyment for our customers. BTW, If you like Dutch Crunch, you should try ours! The Italian Deli also prepares our salad offerings in house which avoids generic and preservative filled bulk offerings. Hello everyone. My name is Tamar Sloan and I own the American Italian Deli in Los Altos and Los Gatos. I have owned the Los Altos Deli since 2004 and the Los Gatos Deli since 2015 and it has been a wonderful experience. The number of high school and young bright kids I have been able to shape, instill a sense of responsibility and good work ethic into is one of the reasons I love doing what I do. Prior to the deli, I owned and operated several food and catering and food service businesses.
