La Familia Meat Market was started by Palemon and Cecilia Soto with help from their children in June of 1999. They serve amazing produce, meat, and Mexican food that stays true to their roots! Mr. Soto spent decades culminating his skills in this industry to provide and maintain an excellent product while providing the very best in customer service. Even after more than 15 years in business, both Mr. and Mrs. Soto can often be found at the location continuing their work serving Houston’s booming East End community! Palemon Soto is the owner of the establishment and has worked tirelessly to provide an amazing product for the East End. He came to America as a young boy with little formal education and unable to speak any English. Over many decades, he taught himself English and how to manage his own business. His hard work, perseverance, and dedication led to the creation of La Familia Meat Market (The family in Spanish).
