With encouragement from my grandfather, a stone cutter, I took my first technical jewelry making class in high school. Not long after that, I sold my first designs. After an extended stint in the retail fashion industry, I founded Grayling in 2009.

Today, we create jewelry for women who value style, first and foremost, but also need to be comfortable in their own skin (literally). I have always been allergic to nickel, so at Grayling we are committed to keeping our jewelry nickel-free. We create jewelry that doesn’t just look good –it’s functional and versatile, too.

When I launched Grayling, I made a conscious decision to hand-make our jewelry in the U.S. which creates local jobs and assures our pieces are of the highest quality. We don’t outsource or mass produce, and nothing is done in a factory.
