Sports Basement was founded in 1998 in a warehouse in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. Since then the business has grown to many local stores throughout the Bay Area. The runners, swimmers, backpackers, fitness fans, and triathletes who shop with us come for great prices and top-notch service. Many know that our prices are low because we buy overstock and excess inventory from quality manufacturers and pass along the savings to our customers. They also know that our prices on rentals – bikes, skis/boards, wetsuits & camping equipment are amazing.
