In 2007, Owner Ryan J. Gilmore attended GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in Carlsbad, CA where he received is Graduate Gemology certification. Ryan moved back to Minnesota after attending GIA and managed a family owned jewelry store for one year. Ryan then attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire from 2008 – 2012 where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in marketing and professional sales emphasis. After graduating from UWEC, Ryan moved to Chicago where he was an outside sales rep for two years with a company called Victualic. “I loved working for Victaulic, but there was something missing. I missed the jewelry industry and had so many friends asking me to help them out with an engagement ring, jewelry and watches that I saw a great opportunity to open up my own store.” In December 2014, dreams became a reality for Ryan as he opened R&M Diamonds in the Uptown area of Minneapolis, MN. Ryan began his career in the jewelry industry at age 16 when he started working at a family owned jewelry store in the Twin Cities.

Today, Ryan has over 10+ years of experience in the industry and has built relationships with vendors and clients all over the world.

Ryan has designed numerous rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets in his career and can write appraisals for retail replacement value, fair market value for estates and immediate liquidation appraisals.
