We accept most major insurances like Delta, Guardian, Cigna, Aetna, and MetLife, and work with non-insured patients as well. Let us know how we can give you the comfortable experience you need.

Dr. Castro was born and raised in the Bay Area and went to high school just 10 minutes away at De Anza High School. He graduated with two degrees from UC Davis: a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in English. He gained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He has been in practice with Dr. van Dyk since 2011. Dr. Castro is very active in the community and in 2013 was named Rotarian of the Year by the San Pablo Rotary Club and Community Hero by the San Pablo Economic Development Corporation. He serves on the advisory board for the De Anza Health Academy and is also currently a board member for the Contra Costa Dental Society. Dr. Castro is available five days a week–Monday through Friday. He loves meeting new patients and seeing all their friends & families. His patients come from all over the Bay Area, including San Pablo, Richmond, El Sobrante, Pinole, Hercules, El Cerrito, Vallejo, and Rodeo. Él habla español.

Dr. Castro is a 2011 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He grew up in San Pablo, attended Juan Crespi Junior High School and De Anza High School before going to the University of California, Davis for his undergraduate degree. Since joining Dr. van Dyk’s office, Dr. Castro has been very active in the community, participating in service projects through San Pablo Rotary to bring food to the homeless, books to underserved children, and help to patients at the RotaCare Clinic in Richmond.
